“My style of drawing came from a break through moment in art class my final semester of college. I realized that the best art that I can produce is when I make every single mark different & sporadic to come together to produce a highly detailed piece while having fun.

Drawing is a release of my passion for fly fishing. I capture my passion of fly fishing by using micron markers, Bristol paper, India ink wash, and sharpie markers for color. By using this art media I try to capture texture & detail that looks like you can almost feel it. This is the closest thing to the game fish that I day-dream about catching.

One of my passions while drawing is doing commissions. I love capturing a special fishing moment or a special fishing spot through my artwork for another fisherman. If my art can bring someone a lot of joy, I’m happy.

If I could accomplish anything with my art it would be to connect with the rest of the fly fishing world through a mutual passion of fly fishing while giving all the credit to God”  -Jaybo Talbo
